In 1999, PT Alarms was founded in Isipingo with a simple, powerful vision: to provide a level of protection and emergency response that the community could rely on without question.
We didn't start with a massive fleet or a national footprint. We started with one vehicle and a commitment to be there when the alarm went off. That commitment turned into trust, and that trust allowed us to grow from a local security provider into a national force.
Today, we are still 100% Black female-owned. We are still headquartered in Isipingo. But our capability has expanded into a 14-service ecosystem that includes our own helicopter division, ambulance fleet, and elite tactical units.

The quality of a security company is judged not by what happens when everything is calm — but by what happens in the 90 seconds after the alarm goes off at 2am. Every system we build, every officer we deploy and every vehicle in our fleet is optimised for that moment.
Most security companies do one or two things well. We built PT Alarms to do everything — guarding, tactical unit, CCTV, access control, electric fencing, EMS, air support, fire safety and investigations — all coordinated from a single 24/7 control room. So that our clients never have to manage the gap between providers.
1,500+ staff is not a headcount — it is 1,500 individuals who have been trained, equipped and deployed with the expectation that they will perform when it matters. We invest in training, certifications and ongoing development because the quality of our people is the only thing standing between our clients and the threats we protect them from.
PT Alarms was Black female-owned from its first day of operation. Our B-BBEE Level 1 status was not acquired or engineered — it is the natural result of who founded this company and how it was built. We do not use our transformation credentials as a selling point. We use them as evidence of what a company looks like when it is built correctly from the start.
